Third Sanctuary (1925)When plans were made to build the third sanctuary, located at 202 Butternut, a temporary one-room tabernacle of worship was erected on the church lawn. The wrecking of the old 1890 sanctuary began on September 29, 1924, followed by a ground-breaking ceremony on December 3, and the laying of the cornerstone on April 14, 1925. On October 25, the $100,000 church officially opened for worship.

The third church building, architecturally termed "modified Gothic," was a multi-level T-shape made of dark red brick and trimmed with gray Lueders stone. A wide flight of steps led from the sidewalk into the sanctuary via three Gothic arches, and a balcony was located across the back side. It even had circulating air to heat and cool the facility.
A dedication of the third sanctuary wasn't held until Easter Sunday, March 24, 1940. This was due to the traditional rule in Methodism that a dedication of a structure could not be held until it was paid for.
The final Sunday morning service was held in the 1925 sanctuary on December 26, 1965.
