Sandy Drake, Music Director
Sandy Drake has led the First United Methodist Church choir as our Traditional Worship Leader since 1995, with experience in choir direction dating back to 1985. She is from Midland, but has lived in Abilene since 1989.
Sandy loves directing the choir, which sings both traditional and contemporary music. In her words, "the choir members at FUMC take their roles as worship leaders very seriously. Regardless of music style, it is every last member's desire to honor the Lord with excellence in music."
Sandy has been married to her husband, Bill, for 36 years and has two grown sons and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family (especially those grandchildren!), reading, and playing golf.
