What We Believe / Acts 2:42

Our biblical mandate is found in Acts 2:42, which says, "And they continued steadfastly in the [apostles teaching] and [fellowship], in the [breaking of bread] and in [prayers]." (NKJ) This means:
1) We teach that the Word of God is the FINAL authority on which we live our lives.
2) We fellowship with one another through love and care, seeking to meet the needs of those in our church family and surrounding community.
3) We celebrate our faith in Jesus by the breaking of bread, both in the sharing of meals together and the celebration of Holy Communion.
4) We're called to be a church built soundly on prayer.
The results of a faith built on these four pillars are revealed in verse 43, which says, "Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles."

Today, God is calling His people to walk in the supernatural, just as Jesus and His disciples did some 2,000 years ago. When we practice sound doctrine, and come together AS ONE under the umbrella of our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit unleashes His presence on His people, opening up a host of miracles, signs, and wonders through the Gifts of the Spirit. It is then we begin to see healings, prophecies, and words of knowledge flow through the Body of Believers as "natural' occurrences.

Verse 47 sums up the ultimate purpose of our believing and following this mandate - "...and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." Our goal is to see people come to know that they are deeply loved by the Father, as revealed through His son, Jesus, and to walk in the fullness of His love, grace, and mercy.
