The purpose of our Worship ministry is to raise whole-hearted lovers of God who worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. We desire to train and equip members to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and worship in song is an important part of this process.
Our FUMC Choir and Worship Team play vital roles in ushering in the presence of the Holy Spirit in both our traditional and contemporary worship services, respectively. It is the goal of these ministries to stand in the council of the Lord and hear the Father's voice in order to better prepare the hearts of our congregation for the teaching of the Word.
God wants to hear His people say, "You are my God and I will worship you;" not just in the pew on Sunday morning, but in our homes and workplaces throughout the week. We desire for God's people to worship outside the walls of the church every day. And, when this happens, the Holy Spirit, with which we commune on an individual level, will overflow into our sanctuary as we come together corporately to worship Him.
It is important to know that worship is not just for singers and musicians on the platform, but for all who gather before Him as sons and daughters of the King. As we come into His presence under one accord, we become more like Him, transformed by His glory and ready to give His love away to others.
