Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child gives FUMC members an opportunity to take part in a hands-on mission that directly affects the most precious commodity of our world - our children.
A ministry of Samaritan's Purse, OCC brings joy and hope to less-fortunate children around the world through gift boxes and the message of God's love. Every November, participants fill shoe boxes with gifts for either a boy or girl. These boxes are then dropped off at the church to be shipped around the world in time for Christmas (FUMC serves as an area collection point for these boxes each year).
Besides providing toys and other gifts to the children, the boxes are designed to share the love of Jesus with kids who might not otherwise hear the Good News.
