FUMC Food Pantry

The FUMC Food Pantry assists individuals and families in need of groceries, distributing food to the needy in Abilene on a weekly basis. Volunteers work to assist all eligible clients in preparing a list of needs and packaging those items for each client. Workers also receive on-site training in how to meet the nutritional needs of clients and their families.

By meeting people's most basic needs for food, and meeting their spiritual needs through the distribution of Bibles, the overall generosity of the FUMC Food Pantry introduces people to God's love in a practical way.

The FUMC Food Pantry, connected to Abilene's Call-For-Help network, operates every Wednesday from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the church. Donations of food items such as canned soups, vegetables, and fruit are also needed.
