Missions

First United Methodist Church financially supports missionaries through Faith Promise giving, a once-a-year pledge drive that encourages individuals and families, alike, to support missionary causes abroad and at home. It is exciting to personally experience God's challenge to give extravagantly, and then to witness the radical ways in which He provides us the money to give - all in an effort to impact our local community, and world, for Jesus Christ!

FUMC members are encouraged to get involved in local, national, and foreign missions. The Palm St. House (a neighborhood house purchased by the church) is currently undergoing renovations to provide a place for members to interact with families in the neighborhood. And, members, in conjunction with other area churches, also take part in foreign mission trips every other year. These trips normally take place in either Mexico or Central America.

FUMC supports missionaries in India, Spain, Guatemala, and various parts of the Muslim world, as well. We also support the various missions-based ministries listed below:
