Member CareMember Care
Our Member Care ministry functions to assist members of the FUMC body during times of need. Illness, hospitalization, bereavement, overseas military deployment, new babies, newly divorced, loss of a job - all are situations where the church is called to stand alongside an individual or family for support and encouragement, as well as to provide practical help. A card, a visit, a meal, or a prayer are all very simple acts of love that show people we care, and are very welcomed when a person or family is suffering.
On some occasions, members simply need a broken window fixed. On others, they need temporary child care or transportation provisions. In every case, however, they need a loving presence to help them through their difficult time, which is the purpose of member care.
