David Black has been Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church since 2002. He has a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) from Asbury Theological Seminary and has served as a United Methodist pastor for the past 33 years in churches across the Panhandle/West Texas area.
David's desire is to "impact the city of Abilene with the message of the Kingdom of God - Life, Blessing, Healing, and Wholeness."
David has been married to his beautiful wife, Amy, for 33 years and has two grown children, Christa and Michael. He enjoys playing the guitar, music, golf, camping, and traveling to see his "kids."
